Welcome to the Three's! By the age of three, children learn to speak 250 to 500 words or more, and their sentence structure increases to three and four words. Our teachers are constantly reading to the children during independent and free choice play throughout their day. At this age reading provides the opportunity to enhance language skills and encourages the children to use pronouns like I, you, we, they and some plurals.
By the age of three, Math and science activities are taught throughout their learning day. They learn to count, sort, and explore within their indoor and outdoor environments while enhancing their social and cognitive skills. They learn to take turns and express affection openly throughout their play while in the learning centers in the classrooms. Their cognitive skills broaden as they ask “Why” questions, correctly name colors, and copy a circle with teacher directed activities too. They begin to understand the concepts of same and different. Inside or outside the three years olds physical development is enhanced as they walk up and down stairs alternating their feet, kick, climb, run, and pedal on a tricycle. No matter the type of weather the children will receive the proper type of exercise daily from our professional and educated staff. Our goal is to make sure each classroom is efficiently prepared and stocked with the correct materials to provide a safe, fun, and stimulated learning experience. |
